Waiting...and waiting...and...

Ok i have been waiting for over 6 weeks for my DJ to come in from my AD. They called me about 10 days ago on a friday and said that it shipped on that thursday from Rolex NY (i am in Detroit area).

So 10 days later and still no watch. The excitement is killing me!

Anyone have an experience with a lengthy wait once it was shipped?

I just need to let out the excitement.

THis excitement is normal, but if you think you're excited now, wait until the AD calls to say 'it's in.'

Then there's the excitement of owning it, having it on your wrist. That will wane slowly, to be replaced when you see 'your next watch' and it starts all over again.

Hi Tony,

I can understand your impatience and excitement, but have never presonally experienced anything like that. My only excitement was when I was planning and plotting on what to sell off next and what to purchase thereafter.

Since I have a fully authorised Rolex dealer just 7 minutes drive from my house, thankfully I don't ever have to wait for Rollies to arrive by post. He's so well and abundantly stocked that it would be easier to make a list of what he DOES NOT have as compared with what he has.

That's the best part of the acquisition, Tony. Think of how much more you'll appreciate the watch when you finally get it

The most exciting part for you is not getting busted for selling your fakes

Congrats Tony and yes the waiting would SUCK.

I am so impulsive that I hate waiting more than 24 hours. But that is not always a good thing.

I beg to differ on the basis of this recent photo:

:o) You could ask you AD if they have submitted the paper work to file claim that is is lost. I can send packages from the East coast to the West coast 1st class and they arrive with in days (litterly!) and even if they sent your watch via carrier it would only take 2 days for it to arrive or even insured again 3-4 days and not 10+ days.

If it was me and I had paid for my watch and the AD didn't have it on hand but, had to get it from another AD, you can bet your behind I'd be the store's @$$ demaning to know the where abouts of my property.

my 2 cents

Problem is they told me it could take up to 3 months to get it but should have it within 6 weeks. I have 20% down and the balance due upon acuisition.

I am starting to get a little concerned though. I wonder if the AD just told me it shipped to appease me?

Well, i will give it until Friday and then make more of a fuss.
