Suggestion on a Family Addition
Hi all. I currently own a DJ TT and a GMTIIc. I was thinking about an addition to my collection. I would really like top own a skeleton watch, but as we know, Rolex doesn't make such an animal. I am looking for suggestions for a skeleton that's not too expensive, but of decent quality, reliability and value retention.
I have been eyeing the Chronoswiss Opus in SS. What are your thoughts on that watch? Do you have suggestions as to a better way to go? The $5,000.00 price point is were I want to be. Thanks in advance for you advise. Brian |

If I had something like that I'd never get any work done.

Brian,
Both my wife and I owned Chronoswiss watches. They were excellent. The only thing about the Opus that is a negative for me is that I find it very difficult to read. I could be wrong, but my suspicion is that most skeleton watches would not hold their value well, only because they are for a particular buyer, and most of the major watchmaking houses don't make them. This Benzinger is one of my favorite skeletons, though it's above your price range at around $8800. I don't know if you could find one pre-owned, but perhaps. You might also find out what the street price is on the Perrelet Dual Time. That's a beautiful watch. Best of luck! Howard
