New Rolex Came!

Just wanted to share my experience of making a deal through TRF watch dealers. Last week I posted up my 16710 GMT Coke for sale or trade. SohAIS actually DM me if I was open to trade. To make a longggg story short, pretty much made a deal that I would trade my 16710 and two other bezel inserts plus cash on my end for the new ceramic 114060 but the catch was I would have to ship my watch first and once everything checks out by checking authenticity etc he then would ship the 114060 overnight to me. This is probably one of the hardest decision I had to make in my watch collecting days. This is the first time that I ever trusted a stranger that much with thousands of dollars at stake. I was thinking of the worst that what if this happens. But one thing that really made me feel good are his references that he has dealt with. So I took the plunge, ship out the watch Saturday morning, he received the watch Tuesday afternoon. Got a text from him that all is good and he will be shipping the watch overnight that same day. Today Wednesday here I am sharing my experience with you guys who are in the same boat as me. With all the scams happening in this world especially these high value material things, there are still honest people that is very trustworthy. I just want to thank "SohAIS" for making this process easy, this wasn't easy for me to do but he made it all better. For sure you have another customer in your books for the next time piece For all your time piece needs SohAIS is your guy!

That must have been a tough trade....not one I would have made. But Sohail is a good guy and I'm glad everything worked out as expected. Enjoy the new 114060!

It was a tough trade considering I was trading 16710 with extra pepsi and all black bezel. But what made me go over the hump is the fact that I have the BLNR already in my collection. Plus Sohail gave me an offer it was hard to refuse.

Seems like a better trade for SohAIS, especially with money going his way. But if you're happy with the result, that's what matters. Congrats on the new Sub!

Congrats. Yes a straight trade with a private member might have been fair but I know the person he sold to is wholesale so he has to make a bit of money. Although the 16710 is a hot watch and would have been easy to sell privately. But if you were looking for a fast and safe transaction you found a good guy. Congrats again.

This. And, also worth noting we don't know if 16710 was a full set nor what year and it's full condition. There's also shipping both ways (Likely Sohail sent labels/paid for both)and the fact that he's entitled to make a few $$ as this is what he does for a living.

Not sure why one would make an erroneous unsolicited statement that serves no positive purpose?

OP, congrats, you have a beautiful sub and more importantly have discovered a new outlet for buying and selling that will undoubtedly open up ways to enjoy this hobby even more

I did get a very good offer from SohAIS. It was a tough decision for me since I know the Pre ceramic GMT shot through the roof. The watch I had was only the watch with two other bezels. I didn't have box or papers. Also since I already have the BLNR it was a easy decision for me. Overall both sides are happy

The watch I traded was a no holes case F serial number with no box or papers. However I did have two other bezel inserts that came with the watch. "Pepsi and All Black bezel insert" as far as shipping goes SohAIS sent me 2 day fully insured shipping label for me to send the watch. On his end he overnight the sub. It was a smooth transaction. I knew he has to make money but the offer he gave me is pretty fair imo.

I have done similar transactions with several trusted sellers here (including Sohail) as well so certainly in my opinion you did fine. Likely you (and I) could fare a bit better by selling our pieces directly to the end user but there's quite a bit more time, energy and even risk in going that route. Been several threads here relating to uncomfortable situations caused by irrational buyers. The better trusted sellers here make a small profit but, from my experiences with a few of them, they work hard to earn it and provide good value.

Once again, congratulations on your new watch and enjoy!

Sohais is the man. I did a similar trade with him which I had to send over my watches first. My wife though I was insane shipping out thousands of dollars worth of watches to a complete stranger.

But I realize to get the amount of feedback and street cred like Sohais is not easy on this forum.
