14060m how to tell polish?

I am looking at a 14060m from 2008, I have a hard time telling how much its been polished down, how can you tell easy that its been polished? All I can see is that the bottom left lug is polihed more then the others? What would you rate this case out of10

A bit hard to tell from a straight on angle...it does look a bit over polished but not bad. I'd keep looking if this is something important to you, it's extremely important to me. Id ask for a few more pics from a side angle if possible, I wouldn't settle..

The clasp and chamfers tend to be the tells, but it's tough to see from pictures. Also, I'm not sure anyone could tell if LAWW did a light cleanup on nice previously unpolished watch.

For me the trick to tell if it has been polished is look at the lug tips. Never polished will have sharp little rectangles at the tips. Even a light polish tends to dull the triangles.

I agree, if done by a pro you won't be able to tell

That I don't exactly agree with, if you assume that RSC employees are "pros". It's obvious when they hack on a case.

If the person has great skill and uses a lapping machine, I suspect you wouldn't be able to tell. All my watches are unpolished (bought new) so I know what it looks like. I've only seen one case polished without a lapping machine that couldn't be detected with a lupe. It was polished by Dom Weiland in MI - the guy who trained the RSC Dallas refinishers.

That's what I always look for too. Never has done me wrong. Lug thickness can be deceiving sometimes.
