And since this thread is bullsh!t anyway, I don't mind derailing it by saying that your avatar pic has been the 116610LV for so long that I'm going through an adjustment period now that you've changed it to the DD40!

More like the smart money club. Most models fetain their value well and several appreciate. If you buy right you can most always do well when looking to trade or sell

On that basis many Rolex owners are rich.

seems a pretty ignorant view on luxury watches in general, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a decent number of people that viewed such unnecessary luxuries that way.

That's funny, I'm actually going through an adjustment period myself. I'm definitely not recognizing my own posts as easily. Do most people keep their avatars forever? I'm only a few years in, but just figured it was time for a change.

I'm well on my way. If I hadn't bought so many watches over the past two years, I could've paid my mortgage off by now

Looking at Dave's post and my response above, I would say that a lot of TRFers could well be heading for the Poor Man's Club.

Rolex is a great quality watch at a decent price. I own 4 and if i told what my income has been, you would laugh. I am so poor that I cannot afford any cheap watch.
