Trailer looks good and I like the concept of the story. But my hopes aren't that high after TFA. The director doesn't have a good track record and I heard that they ordered reshoots of scenes.

At least they have someone that can act in the lead, and cast looks good.

Yep. I like the Star Wars franchise. It's always a good ride.

What happened to the cast from the other movie? They looked all different.

The force awakens(7) happens 30 years after ROTJ(6)

This film happens between episode 3/4. And focuses on a side story how the plans for the original Death star were stolen.

So probably won't feature Luke/Leia but looks like Vader may feature.

I was really looking forward to Rogue One but as explained above it is another prequel which I think just confuses the whole Star Wars franchise. I mean why release it inbetween the release of TFA and the follow up to TFA?
Just another money spinner that isn't continuing the story but just riding on the back of the original trilogy to make a quick buck

Every film ever made is a money spinner, Disney bought the rights for 4Bn and will release a film every year now. A continuation of the TFA every couple of years and a spin-off in-between. The star wars universe is huge and has lots of story/characters to be explored so get ready for a Han Solo origins, An Obi-wan trilogy.

Huge fan of the originals, but hated TFA, that was a lazy quick-buck film IMO.

I don't think it's confusing where a film will sit I just want a decent film, that captures some magic of the originals.

This really looks strong, a little darker in tone than what I expected. Plus, well, Vader!

Wait, I thought this movie took place between ROTJ and TFA (i.e., 6.5). I am so confused... lol
