Tudor Black Bay power reserve
Hey guys, my Black bay Noir power reserve is acting odd. I wear it every day, and take it off before going to sleep. Even though I wear is every day, it seems to stop keeping time by the time I wake up (usually 8hrs of sleep), has anyone ever experienced this ? Furthermore, I decided to run an experiment by winding my watch before sleep and not wearing it the following days to see how long it would run for (came to 36hrs and 46mins). The watch keeps time accurately but won't store power for long, i'd appreciate any feedback if you have had a similar experience.

I haven't experienced that with my Black Bay, but I manually wind mine once a week. It only has a 38 hour power reserve. Are you not very active during the day when you wear it?

It seems like it can store power normally based on your experiment but it may not be transferring the energy from
the rotor to the barrels. However when the barrels are wound manually you seem OK. So to problem may be in the rotor or that you are very inactive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a desk job where I barely move my arm, but shouldn't that not affect it? Ive talked to a friend with a BB and he does similar work (desk job) but his reserve will still be full.

Unless I wind it Monday and then use it every day for the week (it should continually run). I am just concerned with a possible issue since it would need to be manually wound first. I do still have just under a 2yr warranty, but i'd rather not wait 2 months for my watch to come back to me (Rolex's supreme service wait.... lol)

I think there is going to be a problem as no modern watch should run out of charge overnight when worn during the day..

I had an issue with one of my watches before. Turns out what I thought were full turns were only half turns, so effectively I was only giving it 20 winds. Keep us posted! |

Unscrew the crown and wind the watch daily, or take up jogging. |

I had the same issue with my BlackBay. Under manual wind, got great power reserve, but if I used it, it did not fully 'charge'. I sent it to RSC and they fixed it. Rolex told me that standard service is 4-6 weeks, but warranty jobs are kept as priority, it took them less than 3 weeks.
