dearest experts ~ 5513 to pounce on it or be patient???

You guys have been very generous with your experience as I've hunted down my first vintage piece. I saw a number of vintage rolex in a local watch store this weekend and fell in love with the 5513 superdome and overall aesthetic. is this a buy at $9500? any issues?

In my opinion...

the dial has plots a little bit dirty ... the case is not in good condition, the hands have been replaced, the bracelet is certainly not consistent with the watch era (which judging from the dial and the insert -very nice- should be the years 67/70 .. if it is from a later period then it would not be correct the dial) ...
Crown is correct.. And plexi is not a superdome but a service one...

if I had my way I would look for other .. especially for the asking price that does not seem low for a watch in these (in my opinion poor) conditions

Hard pass for me. That watch is in rough shape.

Re:

For me, the only things going for it are the insert and the non-triplock crown. I would pass.

Good call!
Both case and dial don't look that great at all.
I'm sure you'll land a much nicer one, and the patience will pay off!
Good luck

The best thing on this watch is the insert minus the pearl. Not a good sign.

Crystal looks like the flatter-profile service replacement rather than a superdome. Cringed when I saw the cupping on that lughole...

Move along. Nothing worth almost ten grand here...

Keep looking as others have said. It had a pretty rough life that watch...

The saddening part is that the owner emphatically told me it was an all original watch. I am guessing he was aware that this was not an accurate statement.
