1972 Rolex Submariner ref.1680- Just Serviced
Greetings,
Up for sale is a beautiful 1972 Rolex Submariner Reference 1680. This piece is just back from service and is in excellent condition. Scuba prop not included. CASE: Thick case shows very minimal signs of wear. Nice thick healthy crown guard and champhered lugs. No pitting or corrosion on the case. Serial and reference numbers are crisp between the lugs: Serial number: 328**** circa 1972. "1680" Pressure tested up to 100M. DIAL/HANDS: Dial is very clean and has puffy creamy yellow even patina developing. Hands are a tad darker. Open 6 and 9 date wheel. Beautiful matching bidirectional Tropic insert and pearl matches the dial and hands perfectly. Very nice and even patina all the way around. CROWN: Triplock Rolex Crown. Sits flush with case and sets/winds perfectly. MOVEMENT: Picked up from service on 9/10/16- Serviced by Quality Tyme in St. Petersburg. Keeping excellent time-gaining 7 seconds per day. Rolex Swiss signed caliber 1570 is very clean. Caseback is stamped IV.72 with Rolex ref and insignia. Original top hat acrylic is clean and shows light ware.
