Love the VC.
I would trade in a DJII but would not be able to part with my BLNR. |

I'm not a fan of the blnr. I've tried. Just can't get on board.
Love the DJ2. But would I make that trade? Heck yes. Chrono plus date? Yes. Please. But I'd likely get it with a rubber strap. Easy to source with deployment. Very nice!!

I would not do the trade. Not so much from not liking the VC but the value you would lose when it came time to move the VC. Resale is weak and the market is limited on who wants the watch. I would find another watch that interested me that I could retain some of my value in.

Lots of good advice in this thread. I would lean towards going PM if you feel the need to move the BLNR and DJ2, be it a BLRO or anything else.

I like the VC actually but like some people said if you're getting rid of both look towards the DD40 and get some PM in your life. I say that all to say that the BLNR is a gorgeous piece and I wouldn't get rid of it but if you don't wear it what's the point of keeping it in my opinion.

This is a tough one. I like the vc but it's one of those brands that's hard on flippers. If you change your mind you'll take a hit. It's superior in its refinement and finishing, just look at that dial and the bracelet is among the best in the industry as I've owned the 3 hander grey dial deep stream. Maybe consider something safer like an AP RO or 5711? I would move the DJ for another sport model anyday of the week. Hulk, rhodium. Dial ym, or explorer sound about right. Good luck.

Not a fan of that VC. If you're wanting to step outside of Rolex with a high end chrono I'd give a good look at the AP ROC.

Would you guys think I'm CRAZY?
I know the VCs case is a little polarizing but it really looks great on the wrist to me. Having the date and ability to switch to a rubber or leather strap are other reasons to get it even with a Daytona (with OEM equipment - I know there is Everest and Rubber B). Two chronos are fine.

Personally, I like the Overseas. I would however, opt for the new model with in-house movement. I would get rid of the YMII, unless you actually use the features.
I would not give up the BLNR, you may regret it later. |

Nope, you likely will get more wrist time with your current Rolex collection.

I popped into VC recently and was really impressed by the new series 3 blue dial Overseas. The blue dial is a really fantastic deep blue, pic below. The case is also less rounded/egg-shaped and the bracelet has the super easy change mechanism that I hope Rolex introduce as well, no more spring bars. The price however at Ł17K is awful and I would need at least 30% off as resale is poor. If the chrono is in the same deep blue then I would go for it, esp if you don't like the BLNR. Plus it has all the same size subdials now. I'm starting to talk myself into one...Ha!

Now, if I was hell bent on doing a 2 for 1, I would flip the BLNR and the DJ for a BLRO. Now we're talking. Hey, if you're going to give up 2 great watches...we need to be talking PM for your troubles. |

Yes, at 30% off I might be tempted on the non-chrono. It was very impressive and I rather feel I insulted the very posh and proper and unfortunately half-asleep salesman, as they never have any customers, with my astonished delight.

Larry, the non-chrono SS in my pic was Ł17K but the extra-slim WG VC was... wait for it... Ł46K! That's ten grand more than the RG Nautilus! VC are making nicer watches but their prices are crazy! God bless Rolex PM.

This is a bit of a 'first world problem' methinks.... but having just flipped my BLNR and happy to see the back of it I'd say get the watch(es) you want. Watches are for wearing after all and it's not getting wrist time for a reason.

I am a Rolex guy through and through, however, in this scenario I will have to echo the sentiments of my good friend below...
Took the words right out of my mouth sir, err, I mean keyboard

As usual, ALL great points!!! I get the whole two SS for a PM, but I'd have to shell out another $8k ^. I'm still torn but leaning to stating put. I flipped the BLNR once before and was sick over it. I bought another one a week later. I'm a little worried the VC would get old and as you've all mentioned- id take a hard hit. Thanks so much for all if your opinions!!!!

A couple of things jump out here.
The Rolex blinders/rose colored glasses came out. The VC lineup as a whole is a cut above Rolex. But I would never buy one new, they take a big hit out the door. I would sale/trade in only one. |

I was considering a dual time and I tried my buddy's chrono to see how it felt on the wrist. I was put off by the amount of funk that built up around the bezel. He only had it a few months at most.
Yes I wiped down the case back before trying it on :-P |

I wouldn't. Save for the VC. If you still want it that bad after a few months, then it was meant to be.

You're not anymore crazy than the rest of us :) but I think your collection is awesome!! I wouldn't do it for that particular watch.
