Do you try to negotiate
With "Trusted sellers"? How firm are they on price. Are the prices they list typically take it or leave it?

Depends on the watch and your relationship with the seller.

Also it depends if it's a straight purchase or if you're trading another piece.

My local AD just offered me 20% off on brand new 116618 blue dial. I didn't even ask. Wonder if they would go 25%? If I can't find an amazing condition, recent purchase and gently used one soon, I may go back and ask...

Most of the time it's based on AD and how they are doing business wise. Typically steel watches are little to no discount. When you add gold or go for solid gold, they are willing to do up to 15% I've seen.

I purchased from AD. I was told I could get a small discount on a Hulk. No discount on the BLNR I purchased. Don't know about other watches but I imagine a discount would be possible.

Why not, as long as you both agree on a price... Win/Win.
