What's A Good Price For A NIB GMT II Rootbeer

Retail price. Being that you are in LA, its difficult to get discounts on the west coast. If you can, I guess it depends on how bad they want to sell it (and how many watches you've bought from them). So, the best price is whatever you can buy it for.

Sounds like a needle in a haystack to me. That will be like finding a 1986 Lexus that hasn't been cranked.

I've located the watch. They want $8950.00 and they will probably _not_ discount.

I'm guessing that $8950.00 was not the Rolex list price when they acquired that D-series piece.

I thought maybe some of the Rootbeeristas here would have some insight into what a fair retail price would be, given that it is brand new and from an AD.

This is the best I can do, in 2007 the 116713 was priced at $8,925, so $8,950 is way too expensive IMO for a 16713.

Sorry. I don't follow your thinking on this. Why is $25 over list "way too expensive" for a watch that no one can source anymore?

You understand that this is a new watch from an AD, right?

Yes I understand this is a new watch, however a D serial was from 2005, when the price was a lot less. This watch has not been available for almost two years, and the fact that an AD has it and does not want to give you a discount is complete BS IMHO. Keep looking or make them an offer 2K less.
Edit: If it's Ben Bridge or another large chain, I would keep shopping.

wants full list.
There out there.Just have to do the leg work.

According to most people here they all think
a D series is to old.I own several D series
and there just as good as the latest Z and M's.
