Stickers are dirt and bacteria traps and more importantly they obscure the beauty of the watch. A watch simply looks better with the stickers off. Why anyone would want to wear one with the stickers on is beyond me. But, to each their own.

My AD took MOST of the stickers off my watch when I bought it. There were a few that they didn't take off. I took them off, when I noticed them.

I'm not sure if this helps.

Destickering makes the watch mine.

Do you leave the stickers on?

I have a colleague who recently purchased his first Rolex (a Subc). He's been wearing it for several weeks, and refuses to peel off the stickers. I get it, it's his first luxury watch, and he's very careful with it. But I give him a hard time nonetheless.

Personally, I remove all the stickers prior to slapping a new watch on my wrist.

So just curious what other members do.

Off!!

Here is a funny story tho...

I watches a "Talking Watches" episode on HODINKEE with Pras- former Fugees member.

He had an AP RO - gold if I recall - with all the stickers left on. You could clearly see where they were peeling as well as the dirt on the edges...seriously tacky looking IMO.

Anyone remember that seinfeld episode where Jerry explain to Kramer about opening a soda and that sound it makes for the first (and last) time gives you certain ownership over it?

That's how i feel about the stickers.

I remove the stickers right away. Yes, the first few little scratches hurt a bit, but whatever. Its something to be used and enjoy. If you're worried about scratching it keep the stickers on it, keep it in the box and store it in the safe. Its a foolproof way of keeping it pristine.

Stickers removed immediately. All of them. I find that the first scratch on the first watch was the most painful, but having had a few now, a scratch on a new watch doesn't hurt anymore. It's part of ownership.

I asked the AD to take them off my watch. I think it's a pain to remove. Even then the AD missed one or two of the really small rectangular ones.

Nooooooo! I take mine off and stick them to the back page of the booklet. Habit of mine. No better feeling than peeling the stickers off of a new watch.

No, never. I'm the guy that peels stickers / protective film off of everything. I found one on my refrigerator in the house I bought last year that had probably been there for at least 5-6 years. GONE baby GONE!

I was so proud of my wife when she got her first Rolex and promptly started to remove the stickers once I had sized it for her. She dismissed my comment that she would likely miss a few and sure enough she forgot one sticker on the clasp.

It's not really my watch until the stickers are off. Never understood leaving the case back sticker on either. The bracelet doesn't even touch the case back when you're wearing the watch. And when you take it off with even just a little bit of care the clasp isn't going to scratch it. So unless it starts dancing around by itself in the drawer nothing is going to get scratched. And even if it does, who ever sees the case back?

It's a watch you wear it

If you leave stickers on u might as well leave it in the box. Also I think it's totally unhygienic all the dead skin, dirt, guck gets caught in the stickers. Ewwww

If bought at AD I wear it out with stickers then remove them as soon as I get home. If fedex then I remove them after trying it on for roughly 5 mins. Either way stickers come off same day.
