Does it sting for you too?

Does it sting for you when you see a watch you paid more for go on sale for less now, in similar or great condition?

I'm not aware that I've seen that happen with any of mine. Not bothered, either!

Like everything... A TV, car, etc., yes it would bother me a little, for a little while. On the flip side, if you do more research, after your purchase, you can probably find it MORE expensive, somewhere else, as well.

No, not at all. It is just the way that it is with almost all goods. Buy right and enjoy.

Wouldn't bother me. I learned what really stings is being impatient and not waiting for just the right one to come up.

There are many "stingers" when buying vintage but pricing is not a concern to me since I have learned a long ago that you get what you paid for - sometimes for a little more, sometimes for a little less.

I bought my first vintage during the peak of the bubble in the 2000s. A year later, similar models were going for a couple thousand less (though the dials on those were not quite as pleasing). Of course it wasn't fun to see, but I figured it would regain its "lost on paper" value.

And sure enough, it came roaring back and then some.

So unless you've bought a reference that has fallen out of favor (I do feel for those who bought bubblebacks during the peak of that frenzy), you'll likely see the values of what you bought return to a level that makes you feel better.
