The green GMT hand is hidden behind the minute hand.

The 24 hour hand is green on the GMT2C, not the second hand.

Let the flaming begin!

First off, YES i have all the original parts!

I get the genuine 116710 dial im putting in it Monday.

These are black (for a white dial) 42mm explorer 2 hands, genuine rolex parts.

Reason, you may ask... well its a tritium dial watch, and that crap doesnt glow anymore and i need it to glow, its a tool, so since the hands and dial would not be correct anyhow, i figured why not go all out, get the newest hands i could, hell i can always go back to original. Now its one of a kind! We had to modify the hands, the parts were sourced and installed by a very very reputable watchmaker, in other words you know him, but i promised i would not tell anyone he was the one that did this.

So honestly, what do you think?

Weird to me too to switch parts between models even if OEM.

Interesting.

The red in the bezel isn't in balance to the dial and 24hr hand IMHO. Maybe a blueberry, all black or a faded gray bezel insert would push the look to a better place on the color wheel?

1967 Rolex GMT. The last year Pan American world airways awarded these to their Captains upon promotion. Bought in 1990 from a U.S. Jeweler. Just keeping it to someday pass onto my son.
