What are you purchasing this watch for? Are you looking for something formal? Weekend watch? Strap play? Daily watch? A lot of things come into play. depends on what you're planning to wear this watch for. Personally, I'd pick the 44 mainly because of the ceramic bezel and beautiful panda dial.

I need it for a daily use. Is the 44 is too heavy on daily use?

Agreed with the rest. If you can only choose one, 44 SS is the way to go.
Both are great but with 44, I never had to worry about fingerprint (OCD) and scratches on the CE bezel. And the 44 SS does look better imho. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you wear a suit for work then I'd recommend the 42mm, the 44mm is a big watch, a shirt cuff will only fit over the 44mm watch if the button is undone.
Have you tried both on? They are very different watches on the wrist. |

42mm elephant on grey rubber...44mm panda dial just doesn't work well or contrast with the steel or ceramic bezel in my humble opinion..

Was in same boat as you, when with the 44 and can't be happier. I had a diver, and the ss bezel was a major concern for me. Don't know why, but my 44 seems to wear with less scratches than my diver did, so I assume would be the same over the 42.

Test it out personally to be on the safe side. Tbh, you wouldn't feel a diff. The rubber straps on 44 is very nice for daily as you can wash it, and once again, the ceramic bezel is very scratch resistant. My vote on SS44! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have already the 44mm Rose gold, tried both of them, I like them both :) Hard to decide. is it possible to find quality alligator strap for the 44 panda? I want the same color strap like the 42 I really liked it.
Thanks for all replies guys! |

Go for the 44mm. Its ceramic bezel is a big plus; its color coordination is much better than the 42's grey/black; and the 44s have a more attractive design around the side of the pushers.

If you have the RG, maybe I'd go for the Elephant, not sure I'd have two 44s. Got any pics of yours?

If your wrist can support the 44 go that route. I've had both and prefer the 44mm for looks and durability of the ceramic bezel but prefer the 42mm for comfort. I really wish the 42mm elephant was Ti and had a ceramic bezel. Would be the perfect daily beater.

I have both... I prefer the 44 but the 42 is great. If I had to choose I would get the 44.
I know they look like a similar size in this photo but the 44 is obviously larger, the 42 is just sitting on my wrist buckle not closed! No wrong choice here both beautiful pieces! |

AP Boutique can help you. I heard they are coming out with new colors for the strap. Also, one of the guys who works for me has the 42mm elephant. Def looks Way better on the black rubber strap IMHO.

Had the 44 switched to the elephant. I personally thought the 44mm wore very big . Also it's very sporty and doesn't go well with a suit.still a amazing watch

I love my elephant so much it's my first AP in most lighting you cant see the scratch however, I've consider trading it again and again because it hurt me to see the scratch. However I tried on the 44steel and it wear quite large on me and The bezel doesnt shine like the steel bezel do. Tbh I love both of them but if I could repick I'd probably get the 44 but since I didnt and love my greytheme so much now I'll stick with it and live with the scratch for now hope this help if I were u and have the 44rg then I'd definitely get the greytheme though follow by a blue dial 15400 or 15202
