Or grey If you look at the square in the teaser, it's grey. When you look at the squares in their website, they always take the same color as the dial...

meh i hope not. i got a blue pelagos so for me to even consider it has to be something like coke, pepsi or green.

Ill play too....perhaps the numbers reference has more to do with the statistics of the watch (i.e. depth rating) than those on the face/bezel. If this is the case, maybe we are looking at a Pelagos with a greater depth rating. Just a thought

Has to be a version of Pelagos with the square in background. Has to be red because of the one world in each teaser being red.

Yep this sounds more likely. Shame a new Pelagos would've been great. Get the feeling that theres so many BB variants now that it's slowly turning into an Omega Speedmaster :)

Hence the "For those that like numbers" in the latest teaser - edition number on the case back.

Gmt "Coke"
Rolex surprised at Basel with the DaytonaC, now Tudors turn to do it randomly in November.
These brands sure know how to create hype.....and I'm in on it!

It's clearly a pelagos! I doubt they will gmt a pelagos which is a true dive watch.

Would you expect a gmt seadweller?

Of course not.

I heard numbered edition (so not a specific run). Also heard tight supply. I know everyone set on pelagos but I so want a Tudor sub homage.

Why not? The Rolex GMT is based on the Submariner - a true dive watch.

"Based"? It uses the same mid case.

I would be surprised if Tudor does a numbered edition watch. This would be very "omegaish" of them. Dont get me wrong, the first omega in space is a lovely watch. However, with over 10,000 of them sold to date what does a numbered edition really mean?

Making a Limited Edition is so Panerai-ish.

The gmt case is thinner. Not sure about the modern ceramic though.

The mid case is identical. The caseback and bezel are larger on the sub. I'm talking about the five digit references, 16610 and 16710.

From my AD...

Correct. Press will hit on the 17th. Once it is announced you can let me know if he is still interested. I can tell you it is more niche than the previous releases.

I checked in with the AD in Wellington NZ morning of the 16th and they knew nothing. Their stock though is significantly more expensive than stock in the UK even after the price rise.

My AD says it's a new release of the classic Tudor Submariners. I hope it's not a repeat of the Heritage Chrono fiasco. Those Heritage Chronos killed values of the vintage pieces. Rolex seems to nurture their vintage market and values. Tudor seems content to exploit their Heritage without regard to vintage market values.

I'm pretty sure vintage Tudor chronos kept going up in value after the THC came out in 2010, but I'm happy to be put straight on that if I'm wrong.

And I don't think Rolex is interested in nurturing vintage market values. They want people to buy new, not pay dealers for watches they already sold years ago and which they can't/won't even service with any integrity. If they cared about vintage market they would offer vintage servicing without insisting on new part replacements.

I have to agree.

Rolex doesn't give a Monkey's bum about Vintage watches.

They release new watches they think will sell. Period the end. Same for Tudor - though i don't care for them myself.
