Hi guys - I may be a little obsessive, but ever since getting my explorer 2 a month or so ago, it doesn't seem to be clean. Bit greasy and grubby. A particular magnate for the grime is around the cyclops. Wondered what you all used for cleaning, and if a daily how often you did it?

Is it possibly residue from the original stickers?

Also, is it usual for the area round the cyclops to attract the grease/dirt? Part of me thinks there could be a sticker there, but am dammned if I can see any!

Hi Steve, soap water and a soft brush is all that's required.

As for the cyclops it does these to attract dirt due to its raised sharp edges. Again soap and water works best.

I also notice grime develop around the cyclops a day after a wash. I have a very soft-bristled toothbrush (made for babies) that I use when I wash my watches and eyeglasses with soap and water. I find that when dry, it does an excellent job of cleaning around the cyclops without any need for water or anything.

soap and water and an extra soft toothbrush is all that is needed to clean your Rolex. Once a week if you like. No need to do it daily unless you are very dirty
