50 Year Anniversary Edition Sea-Dweller 4000 coming soon...

I could be wrong but I thought that the Sea Dweller 2000ft was introduced in 1967... So the 50th year Anniversary comes up next year.... Given the Submariner 50th Anniversary edition I think it highly liked we will see the same thing done for this iconic model..... How about a blue dial and bezel configuration... I've secured the first one if it is released.....

I hope they leave it 'professional' looking and go with a deep glossy black dial, and a maxi case a la SubC with fat lugs, if they do a 50th anniversary model. That'll make my current one even more special and I'll have zero urges to buy the anniversary edition. However, if they add some red script on the dial in this current configuration of the Sd4k, I'll be in trouble....

50 Year Anniversary Edition Sea-Dweller 4000 coming soon...

Who knows what Rolex will do they might make a platinum red ceramic bezel and charge $60k.

I can't see them doing something simpler that most people would want like "sea-dweller" name in red ;)

I don't doubt they will do something. But it will not be what people are expecting or necessarily want, initially.

I wouldn't expect something amazing - they released the PT Daytona with zero fanfare as some pseudo anniversary model.

Fingers crossed it's a double red. I'd sell my SD4K for that in a heartbeat. Let's hope they keep it simple and don't make it white gold like the pepsi bezel gmt...

I'm expecting a new dial. Dark blue dial and bezel would be awesome sauce but I'm not holding my breath. LVc SDc would also have me sold.

Of all commemorative Rolex watches, the one I would like to have is the Sea-Dweller if one is issued. Thus, I'm first on my AD's list already. I just hope it's not made in a precious metal because I truly see no sense in a truly rugged watch being made of gold or what-have-you.

The only change that would compel me to flip my SD4K would be a DSSD Deep Blue-like dial, and there's a snow ball's chance in hell of that happening. Oh well, I'm happy with the current model.

Agreed can't see double red (because rolex just doesn't really do vintage inspired remakes of anything)

Can't see Lv as that is land of Sub

Can't see blue/black dial as that is on deepsea

PM? That I can see - just because Rolex never really gives us what we want.

Hoping to see a red ceramic bezel, blue crystal, or Mil-Sub hands.

This will certainly be interesting given all the hype and all else around the Daytona ceramic released earlier this year. Rolex know a new SD is likely to be popular so if they restrict supply again , are we likely to go through all this again?

If it's SS, good chance I'm buying it. Don't think the SD should be in PM.

Game changer. Rolex are delivering more to our requests but this would be too considerate. I think single is more likely now Pela has gone red.

Your post title is misleading. There has been no release nor will there be if Rolex introduces a new model.
Personally, if we're speculating, I don't see them relating an anniversary model of the sea dweller.

I doubt we will ever see a colorful bezel for Sea Dweller 116600, these can be any color as long as they are black. However, I'm expecting to see a blueish dial color to commemorate that special event

Man, I'd love to see a two-tone SeaDweller! Basically a Sub Date without that silly Cyclops. That'd save me from buying the Sub and maybe even the D-Blue. Just make sure the minute marks go all the way around the bezel.

Can't see a SD or Exp released in PM. These are SS sacrosanct I think.

A DRSDc... hmm.

A killer 50th SD may cause me to jump ship from the Daytona list on hop on a list for it. We'll see.
