RCS & Overseas watch

I remember reading a thread saying that RCS won't service watches from overseas. I've tried searching for it, and can't find anything. I have a neighbor that traveled to the UK a few months ago, and bought a Hulk. He's offered to sell the watch to me. I want to know if a RCS will service the watch in the states. Thanks very much.

I don't see why not, if the watch is authentic and purchased from Rolex originally.

Here's a little secret...Rolex watches work the same regardless of where you buy it. They're all made in Switzerland.

If you are looking for a service, there should be no issues with RSC taking your money and servicing your watch. For warranty work, there was a thread saying that RSC NY was giving folks a hard time if they purchased overseas and did not have the original bill of sale. However, in that case, just say it was a gift.

All Rolex watches come from one place and thats Switzerland then shipped world wide.It makes know difference where it was bought as Rolex will be quite happy to take your money to service it.And the warranty is international if any warranty work is needed, if watch has any warranty period left as long as the warranty card has been swiped by a official Rolex AD worldwide.

There have been at least a few reports of the NYC center demanding proof of purchase when presented with an EU activated warranty card. Crappy, probably illegal, but it is what it is.

Thanks for the replies. Not worried about authenticity, more so service work with an EU warranty card. Sounds like it won't be a problem.

Yes and to avoid any issues, see if he will give you the original sales receipt. If not, it still shouldn't be an issue since you'll more than likely use the BH RSC. Only in NYC do they break balls.

Today many Rolex watches are bought as presents world wide so the owner of the watch in most cases would not have any purchase receipt.
