Pennsylvania State Police is the oldest and one of the finest State Police Agencies in the country. They have always helped us in our time of need and it's extremely sad to see them have to go through this again.

RIP TROOPER WEAVER.

STAY STRONG PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE. PSP STRONG.

A little more info,,,

Trooper Landon Weaver was shot and killed when he and another trooper responded to a domestic disturbance at a rural home on Bakers Hollow Road in Juniata Township, Huntingdon County, at approximately 6:30 pm.

He had responded to the home to investigate a protective order violation when he was shot. The subject who shot him had been released on bail on a felony charge earlier in the month. He remains at large.

Trooper Weaver had served with the Pennsylvania State Police for only one year and was assigned to Troop G. He is survived by his wife.

Nationwide LEO line of duty deaths at 139 this year.

Man, this bs has to stop. I'm saddened each time to hear of the loss of an officer.

139? That's 139 too many in my opinion...

May he rest in peace.

Saddened. I've read somewhere that following-up on domestic violence is one of the most precarious scenarios that peace officers can find themselves in.

Entirely correct BC, that and EDP (emotionally disturbed people) always gave me a pucker factor off of the charts.
