Cree LED bulb upgrades for Maglites

just interested if anybody has done this upgrade?

a friend showed me the upgraded Cree LED bulbs to 2D and 6D Maglites

its bloody amazing

in the UK the bulbs were about £13 each inc delivery

i was about to retire my old Maglites but this upgrade seems to bring then back to life in the modern age

Ck8 it is very easy. Just like a light bulb change (they used to burn out and there was a spare in the endcap.)

Are they better than the xenon bulb upgrades? Mine have the xenon bulbs.

I did (not Cree) led upgrades on my d cell Mac life's several years ago. Battery life is much better and throw good light even with weak batteries. My issue was long storage without use and they'd be barely glowing when I needed them.

I imagine the modern Cree replacements are awesome.

I did this last year to a couple of my old Maglites, definitely brought new life into them. One was a 4D and the other a 2AAA if I remember correctly...
