Black or white, they are both gorgeous, many congrats. Bit shocking about the gasket issue, but hopefully AP will get it sorted for you asap and you can get back to enjoying this beauty!
Keep us informed. |

Very cool look!
Unfortunately it's not possible to pass AP quality check and AD to not see that defect!!! I don't know what is happening with AP but something is not ok! IMHO |

Just curious, are you also searching through threads of Rolexes that have had QC issues and commenting there as well? I can point you to mine if it helps.

I am very very dissapointed to AP! And that thing tell you a big fun of AP! But to sell watch from stores who have this kind of defects and to not due what for me is a common sense and replace that watch completely without any comment I think it's a arogant answear! I don't know in USA but in EU the Diver 15710 have retail price around 18000€ with 15% discount! So he paid for a watch this amount of money and need to send it to service? If for you it's ok, no problem! I pay 34000€ for an AP ROO 26470 rose gold, I buy it Friday and Monday I go back because the watch are defect! My friend sorry, we don't talk about Pobeda watch! |

Great, so you're trolling, outstanding. So for Rolex's outstanding quality: I have two Rolexes, a GMT IIc and a Polar Explorer II, both of which I bought brand new from authorized dealers and both of which broke within a few years of ownership. Also, in a survey taken in the main Rolex forum, something like 30% plus of owners reported issues with their watches. So hopefully your luck there is better than with the APs, but please stop trolling this forum and telling us all how bad APs are: most of us know better, and also know that all mechanical watches have issues.

Well, hopefully you'll have better luck with that one. Point is, there isn't a single brand in this forum with which a lot of members have not had issues. Mechanical watches are complicated little beasties, and can be problematic, including Rolex.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with AP, hopefully the second service center will work out better for you than the first.

I don't want to send it back for regulated. I sended to a watchmaker who work now on UN manufacture but in the past work on AP and he tell me what problem is. Ussualy a complete overhaul need to disambled the watch, clean, oiled and change parts who are used. But because service center have big volume of watch to work on it they don't service chrono module on AP chrono they changed directly with new one. Till now all ok BUT AP have many chrono module on stock and because this parts stay for a long period of time and even if they are new they don't work correct! After my friend watchmaker clean and oiled chrono module they work +1 sec/day!! So, I am a fun for AP watch and nobody can say they are bad watch but maybe need to do a little attention to details! |

Well, in your case it sure sounds like they could have done a better job with attention to details, I will grant you that. 10 sec/day to me is nothing, as I rotate watches and have absolutely no case over the course of any given day where being within ten seconds of anything is important, and if I need to-the-millisecond accuracy I've always got the iPhone in my pocket.
Sometimes it seems that people raised on quartz accuracy expect it from mechanical watches, and to me this is misplaced sentiment, these are different devices with different inherent levels of accuracy. However, it's good that your friend was able to adjust the watch to your satisfaction, you definitely want to be satisfied with your purchase. Hopefully this all was just a blip for you and you can enjoy them moving forward.
