White milgauss discontinued?

Looks like the white dial milgauss has been discontinued?

It's no longer on the Rolex.com site. Three AD's told me they could not get new stock to replace sold white Milgauss any longer. I haven't seen a press notice, but it looks like the white dial is being retired.

I like the white dial and will likely add it to my accumulation in the future. They are easy to find in excellent pre-loved condition.

Unless Rolex releases a model that directly replaces itself, this is how it discontinues pieces. I could see this coming when they added the blue dial and discontinued the black (non-GV version). It seems like Rolex really wants this model to have the GV glass in all of its iterations. I can't blame them, in addition to the lightening bolt seconds hand it's kind of a signature for the piece. Maybe they will release a revamped white dial GV, who knows.

The GV will tint a white dial an ugly olive drab (see the tint in the image). I think the white dial is gone and the new Air King is using its case and movement.

As noted it's off the site. No idea if that means it's permanent?

Yeah, they discontinued the subc date and Smurf, cut backs due to the release of the smart watches.
