Should you wear a Pam with the bezel protector on?

I was just wondering, is it a good idea at all to try wearing my Pam with the protector on so that it doesn't pick up scratches. Would it be a faux=pas? Honestly, I don't see any other fuction of it - it's obviously of no use putting it on when you don't wear it.

in my opinion - definitely not!! it would also look a bit daft i think. wear and enjoy it as it was meant to be.

A Watch with no scratches on it, is a watch that is never worn or cherished.

Throw the bezel protector in a box and forget about it.

Thanks, I guess it's a case of form over function where this is concerned! The protector never serves its function. When I bought the Paneria 00005, there were already some slight scratches on it though I should say - on the bezel and sides of it.

I wouldn't even bother wearing it or buying it if I had to wear it w/ the bezel protector.

The only time I had the bezel protector was when I had it in a watch case that was too small and the bezel was too close to the watch next to it.

Since then, I have purchased a new watch case and the bezel protector is no longer in use.

The bezel protector has done what it was intended to do, prevent scratches to the bezel during shipping and handling before being given to the buyer.

I remember when I was a kid my elderly neighbor kept the plastic coverings to the lampshades she bought. She would also cover the new couches w/ thin blanketts or some sort of covering. Well, actually EVERYTHING was covered. The sad thing is that it made on otherwise nice looking house feel and seem "old" as all you could see was the covers and not the furniture itself. I'm all for showing it off as it's supposed to be (the watch that is). I say, take off those protective covers and flaunt it!

I agree with you! I'll flaunt it when I get mine back. Most people who're not watch aficionados won't know how much it's worth, that's the problem. My AD sent it back to Panerai as it was losing time and I just wish it were on my wrist now.

I had a PAM 118 ti and took it mountain climbing...wore the bezel rpotector the whole time and the watch came back in the same shape as when I left!

Are you kidding me...why? If you're worried about the watch getting beat up, I tend to think you're probably wearing the wrong watch for the activity. Come on...a bezel protector on a PAM when mtn climbing??? I think I would have fallen off the mtn laughing if I saw that next to me. Where does the madness end - time to put my Sub in a plastic baggy the next time I go diving because I don't want it to get wet?!?! Crazy IMO! Cheers.

If you are afraid to get it scratched, I think a WRIST BAND would do the job better than the bezel protector!
