Dial choice?

A while ago I swapped dials on my DJ. I felt the original dial looked better. Now I wonder if I made the right choice. Which do you think looks better. White or Black?

Lee, I love the simplicity and charm of the stick dial. So that's my vote.

Both from an elegance and readability view, the white.

The Jubilee dial is hard to photo; here's a better picture of it, fwiw. Although it's on a strap.

White.

Love the tapestry dial and stick markers. Now if your Jubilee dial had Roman numerals, that would be a tough one.

Let us know what you decide upon, my friend.

Thanks, Eric. Likely I'll go with the majority vote, here.

I would be as that seems to be the over whelming consensus.

I truthfully like both dials although as others have surmised the tapestry is more useful with second ticks. It is also more dated looking.

Well, that seals it, I'd not known the American Psycho tie-in on the watch. Thank you for the reference. It would be a shame to have one less icon.

Black dial is too busy for my taste - tapestry in white is simplicity and works beautifully on that watch. I have the original satin dial on my DateJust and think it's just a great looking timepiece. As others have said, go with what you love.

White dial in this case. I'm really not a fan of the jubilee dials nor arabic numerals. I think arabic numerals work well in certain Rolex watches ie. Explorer, DJII w/ rhodium/lume dial, and some Daytonas like the WG 116509 blue dial. Just my two cents though. I think you made the right choice!

edit: Besides Patrick Bateman's watch of choice is a tapestry dial DJ and we all know his taste is impeccable! "That's bone and the lettering is something called Silian Rail."

The white dial is much more interesting IMO. It has a bit bit of depth to it, and in this case sticks > than arabics.

Ivory? Cream? Off White?

Under Rolex dial option scheme the Ivory gives it more a classic vintage a la' patina look to the TT DJ 36mm
