Has there ever been a solid Pt bezel on a yachtmaster?

I always thought the insert was platinum, and the bezel was steel.

From what I understand the 16622 and 116622 Always had a platinum bezel and insert. I believe jocke did a tear down of a very early model a while ago and had confirmed the bezel was platinum. I have never heard that early ones had a steel bezel.

I still have doubts but after a statement like that you must have proof?
Do you have a Rolex link confirming this?

Jocke established that the whole bezel + insert are entirely made of platinum on the 16622, but this check was not done on the 116622 AFAIK. Exerpt from webpage: BEZEL 950 platinum bidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated with raised numerals. |
