Had the same dilemma when choosing between my sub date and the BLNR. I went with the sub just because its an absolute classic and is on me daily.

As much as I like the BLNR, personally I feel the GMT function is a bit redundant. Four hands on the dial can become a little too busy at times.

First it comes down to what you like better.

Take into consideration when you will mostly wear it. Do you work in an office? Wear short or long sleeves? Then ask yourself if you will use a date function or not? The answer to those should help you decide.

Neither, get the LN GMT. Classic black colouring just like the sub, plus the additional complication of date and GMT function. It's th best all round sports watch money can buy.

Don't get the SubC.

I have a Sub TT, a DSSD but not the SubC. Everyone has a SubC. Be different. There is oversupply in used market of SubC. You will lose more money on SubC as well.

I asked a question 7 years back here, SubC or SubTT. I am much better off with buying a SubTT.

Get the one you like more. Two different watches completely. I don't think you will regret either choice. Good problem to have!

If your going to keep long term get the one you prefer, if resale is a the main concern then a BLNR is a better bet.

In my opinion the only advice you should listen to is from the folks who said the one you like the most. Go try them on a few times and eventually one will "sing" more than the other. That's your watch!

Well an honest response is an older sub no date would hold value better than the new one, new one basically drops down to resale of any other old one when it comes off the shelf, blnr is rare to see below 8k even in used condition. I think this completely would depend on if you were buying used or new.

This always makes me nuts. Why is the first reaction to this type of question about RESALE value?? lol. Like may others have correctly stated, it's as easy as WHICH ONE YOU LIKE THE BEST. The fact that you're asking others about which watch to buy for YOUR WRIST is nuts enough to begin with. Listen to others on the Forum: Buy what you like!

Sub no date is cool. Don't worry about getting out of it later, worry about enjoying it today.

If you cannot decide, go for the BLNR. when you flip it you won't have to get any cash out of your pocket to buy a SubC.

helson, did you even read the post immediately preceding yours??? Buy it to WEAR it. Otherwise, you might as well put your money in a money market.

Which rolex of the two should i get?

BLNR.

I had the SubC but sold it when I got the BLNR.

The BLNR wore flatter and more comfortable, the glidelock clasp is just huge on a smaller wrist and I prefer the clasp on the BLNR.

And then there are those fatter SubC lugs!

Batman is here to stay. Now in its 5th year of production and still going strong. You really can't go wrong with this watch. Add the SubC later.

Go for the BLNR! I had the no date sub for about a months before realizing that I missed the date and the wrists presence is a big difference. They're both great choices but the BLNR gets my vote for a one watch collection!

You'll get bored of the ND Sub.
Get a BLNR with Date and GMT complication.

I'm biased because I don't care for the ceramic Sub ND. I only like the Sub ND on a pre-Ceramic.

I'd save money and get a 14060 in order to ALSO get the BLNR. Because both would be a great pair to own.

Neither

Do you dive? Sub

Do you travel? GMT

But if you're already thinking about its resale, it may not be time to buy.
