Personally, as we expected, I'm glad to see the stainless steel DJ 41 especially in the blue dial and fluted bezel. Very nice.

It's just like the "two tone" Steel and white gold DateJusts. On the white gold models, the only gold is the bezel. So the entire watch outside of the bezel is steel. Wouldn't want a fluted steel bezel anyway. |

The seadweller looks like they made it for guys who want the deep sea, but is a little too big for them.

This release is exactly what I expected. Everyone was going on about Coke GMTs and tons of new models. Rolex moves slowly and the rarely revisit the past. We all knew the Datejust 41 was a lock. We knew something different would happen with the Sea Dweller since it was discontinued. They applied the Oysterflex on a new model.
Everyone who is "disappointed" expects Rolex to release all sorts of new editions and crazy models on a yearly basis. That's what other brands do and it's why they aren't as successful. Rolex has always refined existing lines and every 10 years or so introduces something new. I am very surprised we have a stainless steel Sky Dweller. Only shock for me this Basel. I love this release. |

Rolex plays safe this year. So this is a year of rest. More time reserved for people to catch up the new release last year.

I know that is why I was confused at first as to why they would release a version like that. Trying to work and keep up with all the release's today is making my head spin! I Should have taken a off lol! |

Howdy,
And just like that, Geraldo's reveal of Al Capone's Vault suddenly became more credible.... Take care, Ruddiger |

You have to click over on different variants at the bottom of the rolex page. They are indeed there. As are a few different variants of the daytona on oyster flex. The wg one is kinda hot

The only thing that half way excites me is a SS SkyD. Good looking watch.

The SS Sky Dweller is my favorite Rolex release but my overall favorite is the Heuer Autavia. I knew it would be. I'm just not sure about the 42 mm.

Nothing for me, which is good for my wallet. I do like the blue Sky-Dweller and WG Daytona on Oysterflex.

Wow! What a shocker. If they had just added the Sea Dweller moniker in red and left everything else the same they would have made it perfect. I absolutely Hate that cyclops. Looks like a Sub now. They should have removed the date instead of accentuating it. Like making your wort enlarged. Also don't like the 43mm sizing. Another dinner plate diver.
Why is it that Rolex can't get it right but Tudor is killing it ? All the creative minds are with Tudor. I think I will be getting a Pelagos LHD and the new steel Black Bay Chrono with the vertical clutch column wheel. And I will still have change left over from not buying the Sea Dweller. |

I suspect the Skydweller will be the winner from this offering.
And the SD for the folks that think 40mm is a tiny Watch and want a Rolex to join their Panerai collection. I'm not a fan of the date bubble though. That was an SD signature in my opinion, and one of the reasons that I bought mine.
