SS Sky Dweller may be the best release for this year.
That SD is a huge disappointment

Love the new SD, the size is right and the Cyclops is awesome. I would have dropped both Sea Dwellers and made the new 43 with the blue dial.

Happy to see the 41mm datejust in white gold with fluted bezel and jubilee.
Like the SD 43, think it will do extremely well. The SS sky dweller is a winner for sure. And the moonphase Cellini is very interesting. Overall pretty much what I was expecting. A SD 50th anniversary and a new complication Cellini. The Daytona suppressing me though, was expecting Gold variations in ceramic but not on the oysterflex! Natural progress though, I suppose being as they discontinued the old gold variations on leather.

Are the different dial options on the Platinum DD new this year? I thought the Platinum was only available with the ice blue dial variations?

So far I think that Omega and their new offerings from this year's show are far better looking for example The 1957 trilogy homage collection are absolutely beautiful offerings especially the rail master actually the speed master is right up there with it I will Aaron one if not both of these pieces however Rolex hasn't done anything for me this year which really bums me out

I agree with you. Pleny of people (me included) have bought a WG Sub when you can have a SS one for circa 20k less. I don't see why the skydweller should be any different.

" The monobloc Cerachrom bezel in high-tech ceramic offers a number of advantages: it is corrosion resistant, virtually scratchproof and the colour is unaffected by UV rays. This extremely durable bezel also offers an exceptionally legible tachymetric scale, thanks to the deposition of a thin layer of 18 ct gold or platinum in the numerals and graduations via a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process. The monobloc Cerachrom bezel is made in a single piece and holds the crystal firmly in place on the middle case, ensuring waterproofness. "
The Ceramic bezel with a thin layer of 18 ct WG in the numerals is the only one I need from 2017 Rolex models out ! |

Little disappointed here, but anyway between the modern one and the new release everybody can get the watch who fit their needs. The Cellini is taking an interesting turn we shall see. The 116600 will be in my list now.

14k for a SS skyD. What is his world coming too. Great complication but should of stayed in PM only. If I owned a WG skyD I would be pissed.

Are there any real live shots out there yet for the blue faced Skydweller or new blue DJ41?
The images from the website never capture the true color and I wonder how the new blue DJ41 compares to the previous DJ2. |

Agree and I like this model a lot. I'm one of those who liked the Sky Dweller, but not enough to pay PM prices. At $14k if it fits well it's superb value. WG Daytona also looks interesting. Honestly I'm not feeling the huge disappointment that others are; nothing as popular or wished for as the D500 but few Rolex years are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm sure someone must have posted, but checking the Rolex site, the deep sea seems not to be there. Has it gone and been replaced with the 43mm sea dweller? Would make some sense I guess....

I bet the SD will sell simply because it has the red font and cyclops...

Oh I have to agree. As a blue DJII owner I'm starting to have the same feeling - wondering who's going to buy a DJII when they can get the same watch in a DJ41 and even get a jubilee bracelet
