Which watch should I reward myself with?

I just graduated from nursing school and I think it would be appropriate to reward myself with my first high end watch. I have it narrowed down to 4 right now, but I need help deciding!

FYI: I graduated from nursing school, and will be working in oncology. I am also a pilot and years ago my first favorite watch was a Navitimer. Today, I love the design of the Black Bay and Nomos, but it would also be neat to get a pilot's watch. What do you guys think?

Among the 4 pictured....the navitimer and IWC would be choice 1 and 2.
Navitimer is a lot of watch for the $$$'s and it will give you quite a few years of service.

But to decide betseen the bay or the nomos.... It would have to be the tudor for me.

Also keep in mind brietling service which is required every 5 years or so is not cheap. Not sure how much IWC charges.

I know lots of pilots love the Breitling but I'd go for the BB.

Being around hospital equipment, that IWC has the anti magnetic case. It's also got a date in case you need it. You'll go nuts without one. Trust me.

I think the BB looks the best, but I vote for Navi, as that sounds like a dream watch for some time.

Blackbay is only one with a bracelet. If you plan on wearing it while working the BB will be the most durable.
The Nomos is the best looking watch imo but more dressy.

Black Bay because it's more versatile. I do love the Tangente as a dress watch though.
Congratulations on your accomplishments and good luck with your decision.

I don't wear a watch while working the floor in the hospital, only when I am there for meetings. While working with patients you end up washing your hands a lot of course and the moisture gets underneath the band which really irritated my skin throughout the day. Its not very cool but I actually wear one of those watches you can pin to the chest of a lab coat or scrub top. The other factor is I felt my wrist watch was likely picking up bacteria that would be difficult to completely eliminate, the heavy duty viral killing wipes at the hospital if killing the bacteria, I imagined would also potentially be damaging the seals as it seems to break down the rubber of my life proof cell phone case (I wipe it down as well as my pen or whatever else I use while working at the hospital at the end of a shift).

As far as the watches above go, I feel like the IWC is the best balance of all the above, classic and minimalist. Of the brands above, I like Nomos the best but will most likely be buying a minimatik rather than the Tangente as its one of the few Nomos designs that isn't tarnished by poor lug design in my opinion.

Tudor, IWC, Breitling, Nomos is my ranking. I would go in a very dif direction though and buy the Tudor Pelegos or Omega Speedmasterr for what your are looking for in my opinion. Good luck.

IWC but a stainless steel band because of the elements you would be around, as Dexvd said.

My favorite of this group is the Tudor Black Bay, and I do think with all the hand washing/water, a bracelet might be important.

While I've never really liked Breitlings, the Navitimer is one of the few I think look okay, and sounds like this might be what would tug at you if you pass on it. Plus a good chrono can be used as a doctors watch, just missing the pulse scale.

Of those, the IWC for sure, but get it on the bracelet, which is so silky smooth and looks great.

I prefer the Black Bay with the riveted bracelet that you have listed. A very robust watch and should meet all of your needs.

BB or Nomos but they are just so different. As a one and only or first watch, I would rather pick the BB.

The IWC does nothing for me and I generally dislike Breitlings.

Look at the Nomos Club Datum with the black dial. Hits a lot of the boxes these hit. Nice combo of all them.

Congrats on graduating!

A great selection to choose from. The Navitimer is the watch I know the least about, but I know it is quite a historic watch and synonymous with Breitling (and an anniversary edition was just released at Baselworld).

The Black Bay is the best all-round watch, so it probably is the one to go with. You have the new in-house movement, the choice of a bracelet, plus you have a variety of colours to choose from and the fabric strap thrown in. It can be worn in all situations and is a durable sports watch. Is having a date window important to you? As the BB has no date.

I recently picked up a Nomos, so I'm partial to the brand with its minimalist design style and recent introduction of in-house movements. The Tangente is probably on the dressy side of things and is not a GADA (go and do anything) watch like the BB.

I have waxed and waned over the IWC Mark XVIII - I love its history as a pilots watch, the clean and legible dial and anti-magnetic case. I think it is a good all-rounder too, but in the end, the lack of an in-house movement made it a difficult value proposition for me at its price point (compared with say a Stowa).

In the end, I say go with the Black Bay. It's the most versatile and has a classic design too.

Of what you presented, I choose black bay. But I'd also consider the Pelagos and the new Nomos Club (37mm on fabric)

I'd say Black Bay....can I throw something else into the mix?
What about a preowned Rolex Datejust?
Rolex IMO is extra special.
