Bracelet/Winder/Speed ?
OK
Just got my first winder, a Orbita Sparta. 1) What setting should I set it at for a Rolex? There were just two postions on the switch (I don't have it in front of me but I think it was 10 and 15?) 2) I have small wrists (6 & 3/4) so when I close the bracelet around the Orbita pillow it is a VERY tight fit. Is this ok or will it cause stretch in the band? What should I do about this? Thanks guys! I think Im gonna throw the DSSD on there for a while and wear the SD. My GF is wearing my DJ but she says she wants a midsize.... I really need a couple more winders but I'll just keep my eye out for good deals on them. I have 6 autos now and would like to have them all on winders at some point.

The Sparta is not programmable like other Orbita winders. With only 2 settings, I would choose the setting that has the least amount of rotations per day. If that does not keep your watch wound, then increase revolutions with the other setting. My wife shares my winders and her watches are smaller. Contact Orbita and they will send you smaller cushions at no charge.

Save yourself some money watchwinders are not necessary for watches with just a simple date complication. It take less than 30 seconds to wind and reset time date etc will do no harm whatsoever to let a watch rest. And remember a automatic watch is just a manual wind, with a auto wind unit fitted. And many manual wind Rolex watches with screw down crowns are wound daily for decades. I had two my sons now wear daily been wound almost every day for almost 40 years and still going strong. And it will not make much difference what setting you put your winder on, you cannot over-wind your watch. And in the average 12 hour daily wearing on your wrist, the watch pendulum rotor would wind quite a bit more than the average programed 12 hours on a winder will.

I know winders are nor necessary BUT I rather just be able to grab my watch and go...
Yes, I guess I am lazy but honestly having to set and wind them stops me from changing watches as often as Id like and winding them every morning isn't always practical as I am out of town at least a few days a mth. I called Orbita and wow what nice people! Talk about customer service, friendly and with a smile. Two new pillows on the way free of charge.
