Sub non date tech question.
When (by serial number or year) did the non date sub start putting COSC on the dial? Also the engraving around the inner dial? Also are they more rare? Is the non date discontinued? Sorry for all the questions; I'm kinda out of touch with all that is Rolex these days. Been doing that Kobold thing.

I think it started during late Z-serial production

Don't take this as gospel but...
The engraved rehaut started towards the end of the Z series serial numbers. It's pretty new, maybe 1-1/2 years. Starting w/the M series, Rolex updated the 14060M to COSC certified, also new. The ND is not discontinued. It exists today in the form you describe. No, they aren't exclusive or rare.

Please feel free to correct me, I think it start with Z serial for engraved chapter ring and M for COSC. But I can assure they are not rare and probably will be replaced with ceramic bezel (all Sub line) but not sure when
