One down two to go

After seeking the advice of the forum I have bought an unworn 2014 Submariner date for my grand son. He is currently three years old. I plan to present him with this watch on his eighteenth birthday. His birth year watch.
I have two grand daughters so I am hunting down a 2011 & 2016 suitable for the girls. Picture attached (I hope)

Hi Graham! Wishing you to live long enough to present one to each of your great grandchildren for their 18th and so do i wish for myself!
Very nice of you!

Are you planning to wear it until you give it to him? Then it would be "Grampa's watch and be a bit special.

That's a good question but what do I do with the girls watches, at the moment I wasn't planning on wearing it but others have suggested the same.

ps I've just bought a 2011 TT 31mm with a diamond V1 today I'll post a picture in a couple of days. So that's two out of three. Need to save up for the third.

I bought my SO a 34mm OP in honor of her granddaughter was born. She wears it but has promised to give it to the girl at a later date. I think it's more special that way.

How about wearing it to all his special occasions (birthdays, kindergarten graduation, etc.). That way, you'll have pics of you, him, and the watch and can give him those pics when you give him the watch.

This gesture is as beautiful as the picture you posted. I'm torn between you presenting as new or wearing them to build an association to the watch. Although you don't strike me as diamond VI type of guy.
