Rolex Factory Warranty Inquiries
A trusted AD in T.O Canada told me that Rolex warranty is non transferable effective Nov 2016. The factory warranty only valid to the original purchaser. I saw a lot of Rolex watches in the grey market indicated the remainder of the 5 years warranty on their listings. Is it fault advertisement from the grey market if this statement was to be TRUE. Since we all want to save our hard earn money, and mass produce products do fail within the warranty period. Can you all please give me some inputs regarding this matter.
I found this article about the Rolex warranty policy changes. Whether or not it is true is unconfirmed by Rolex. https://blog.toolwatch.io/watch-tips...olicy-updated/ Last edited by Phudu; 9 April 2017 at 02:22 AM.. Reason: re-wording |

If true, that's news to me.

Just bought my Explorer 1 from Royal De Versailles (Bloor and Bay) last month and my name is not on the warranty card. If thats a new rule i assume they would have done that.

RSC just asks your warranty card when you hand in your watch. They don't have ask your ID. If your warranty card is under warranty, they will look at it and service it freely. I've been to RSC personally multiple times as recent as last month!
So, its just a rumor! |

Warranty follows the watch not the owner.
