In a report published today, electricity prices across Europe were published. Before I commence I will say that we are sitting on one of the largest natural gas repositories in Europe. We pay 3 times as much as inhabitants of the UK.

In fact, only two countries are more expensive. I feel betrayed by my own

bloody government.

In comparison with gas prices you're right.... at the moment - gas prices have risen tremendously over the last winter.

We're expecting a massive hike in electricity prices this year as well - things are not looking good, especially for the elderly (and hopefully we'll all be elderly in the end, the alternative is not that pleasant:

)

... and we're in a drought with a hosepipe ban throughout most (if not all) of Southern England, so we can't even drown our sorrows - except in the pub
