Updated display

As noted in a recent thread, my wife got me some new watch winders, and it's made for a nice watch display in my closet. Mentioned by one of the other patrons here, some lighting would really add some pop to the overall set up and give it more of an AD feel. Therefore, lighting was installed. The little simple puck lighting adds a finished touch. Hope you like it. It's a fun project.

And for what it's worth, my wife thinks I'm an idiot, but laughs at me and accepts it as "what she's stuck with". I think many in the WIS population know what I'm talking about.

Exactly. She's not complaining because her shoes and purses definitely compete, and I don't give her any grief about it. Gives me a little more wiggle room.

I was all for it and loved opening my closet. That was until my house got robbed. Needless to say, I made it that much easier for the thief or thieves. I learned the hard way. I eventually recouped my losses and now my watches sit in the dark in a bolted down 400 pound safe. Enjoy but be careful.

Spoils some of the joy of having a collection... but for me a safe is the wisest option

Maybe OP can install thick steel closet door and just turn the entire closet into a walk-in safe. The thought has crossed my mind once or twice but my wife may have me committed.
