used DJII 116334
I am thinking of buying a used DJII 116334.
My question is has the price of a used 116334 stabilized. Meaning in a year or two will the price of a used 116334 be about same as they are today. Thanks for any help. |

I'd surmise that the price DJII is going to take a while longer to stabilize due to the new release of the DJ41.

In my view probably not. Issue is the recent discontinuation of the line. This may cause prices to rise eventually (it will not be much if they do) or plummet as a lot of AD's may offload on hand stock to the grey market. When viewed against the technological advances of the dj41, in my view I see prices going down more with the used dj41s commanding about the same dollars as used dj2 currently does. The dj2 will then trend downwards when the used dj41s start sowing in the marketplace over the next few years.
However, nobody truly knows so buy what you like since almost every new reference will lose money in any event. |

As far as DJ2's go, they are unique in the Datejust lineup and now discontinued to boot.
Anyone after 'sporty' looking Datejust has only the DJ2 Baton dial to chose from as the traditionalists won out when the Datejust 2 was remodelled into the Datejust 41, which is nothing more than an upsized DJ36, and it's shows. (Internal movement aside). For these reasons I own 2 Datejust 2's and won't be parting with them. I think they are a super beautiful timepiece and expect time will see them creeping up in value as they offer the owner a more modern Datejust look. But time will tell, either way, mine are keepers for the reasons I have stated above, regardless of their future value. |

I think the DJII was released in 2009, meaning it has had a very limited production run, presumably due to its poor sales, which may make this more desirable in the future - who knows.
Personally,I feel a much maligned reference. |
