Thanks for the report and the photos! Excellent! I love that WG Daytona, definitely the coolest Rolex to come out of basel '17.

I agree with the others - the SD4K is the best of them all!

Now I'm excited about your upcoming visit to the Omega event tonight and your subsequent report. Have fun, and thanks again!

I agree. Hopefully after the initial surge we can get at a discount or from secondary market. I love my Aquanaut on rubber so I'm thinking this will be nice as well.

It's a great community we have here that really makes this hobby far more interesting.

I do want to add a couple more thoughts since I woke up this morning. I do think the Sky Dweller wore smaller to me despite the larger dial and fluted bezel because of the way the case wrapped around my wrist (it's a thicker case but the way it contours is more alike a Daytona/YM).....whereas the Sea Dweller wore more like a flat puck exacerbated by the protrusion on the caseback. It is highly dependent on your wrist size and the shape of your wrist. Another fellow WIS (I found out this morning he's a TRF guy also since he dropped me a line!) that I checked out the SD43 with, he had a wrist just shy of 7.5" it seems like and IMO the watch looked far better on him in terms of how it sits and how much estate it took in proportion to his wrist.

And yes.....that white gold Daytona....must have for sure in my books, it's only a matter of when. Just beautiful no matter how you look at it. I might buy a Sky Dweller yet but I tend to agree with others that's posted similar thoughts....the stainless versions just don't scream like the PM versions I've seen....they are definitely designed by Rolex to be more muted in nature IMO......but that Daytona comes first for sure.

Thanks again to this community especially those who take the time to share to add to the wealthy pool of information we have here @ TRF.
Agree with you my friend......

WG Daytona should be you target...... No doubt about it....

Same with you here, even I have a 7.25 wrist I can barely pull off wearing a Sky Dweller.... I find it off balance due to the heavy thick case.....

As for the 50th Sea Dweller in my case is forget about it..... I find the SD4K or any Sub C fit me the best......

It exactly like what you say & the pictures of the wrist shot you post.....

I love the dial and bezel but the OF was a bit of an issue for me, I come from AP where the rubber straps are more sturdy and muscular, the OF is pretty lightweight by comparison, think I'll need more time with one.

As for price, in the UK this will not be discounted much for a long time.

Thanks for the great pics and thoughts!

You mentioned thinking that the blue on the SkyD dial is brighter than the one on the YM. Can you tell us if the blue on the DJ40 dial is also brighter? That's a piece I really want to see in person.

Yes. Also some do not like the oysterflex writing on the side near the lug.

I'm looking forward to seeing new SD43 and the new Omega's. Your pics and descriptions are the best. Thanks.

I assume you are asking about the blue dial on the DJ41.

Looking at them the other day, I would say the Skydweller and DJ43 dials are the same.
It's a little hard to tell because of the layout and design of the Skydweller dial and the new contour of the DJ41 dial plays tricks with the light reflecting off it, but if there's any difference strictly from a colour point of view it's hard to pick.

Yes, DJ41. Thanks for your thoughts. So this means it's a brighter blue than the one found on the equivalent DJII?

Yes absolutely.
It's quite nice, and the way the light plays off it in a fanned out arc as opposed to the DJII is interesting and different.

Well if you notice that rather than the stunning dial then the watch is not for you.

Agreed. And I love the OF...with an easy link, this would be a total home run for me.

Yes, you need to see it, was a bit flat when I tried it on.
