I have a Luminox watch that is all black and shows a tiny bit of wear after almost 20 years. But, I wear it mostly at night. It was meant to be powder coated and costs less than $500.
Seeing a Rolex painted makes me cringe. Seems like an insult to the people who made the watch. |

I love how it looks, but 25k is a little steep. It's not that expensive to have independent watchmakers repair a Rolex, as long as you plan on keeping the piece go for it!
