Indeed, it is a two tone jubilee that GMT masters and DateJusts etc used to sit on. Can be 62523.H14 (14K gold; earlier 4-digit models, before 1980) or 62523.H18 (18K gold, after 1980).

That being said, these older clasps also has a date code with 1-2 letters (designating the year) and 1-2 numbers (designating the month).

Hi. I have a DJ 36mm two-tone. Running on the 3035 movement. It doesn't have the ORIG ROLEX DESIGN at 12 o'clock, so I brought it to my local AD where they confirmed it was an original, but they didn't offer much of an explanation, as they were quite busy. It's around 1987. I would appreciate any help as there's not a lot on the net. Cheers in advance.

Icon20 Serial number question

Hey, in new to this forum and new to the watch world. I had a question about the serial numbers of the rolex GMT master II. I was looking at the 126710. (1267) being the Rolex GMT master II and the 0 at the end means it's made in stainless steel but I was wondering what the 1 in-between means. Does that have anything to do with the bezel?

Stolen Rolex

I just shipped a Rolex for the first time, and looks like it never left the post office where I mailed it from. Thankfully it is fully insured. Is there a Rolex database where the serial number can be listed as stolen? Does anyone here have any experience with such a thing?

Thanks in advance

Yes I have some experience with that + with getting some of my stolen ones back.

First get a copy of your Police Report. I doubt they will issue one until the carrier you used deems it stolen.

Then call the NYC Rolex Service Center (212) 758-7700 - tell the attendant who answers that you wish to report your missing/stolen watch. You will be transferred to the correct department to get it into their global database.

I have recovered 2 of the 4 that were burgled from my home.

If you accept the Insurance reimbursement, they become the owner of it when/if it is recovered.

Hi, I am looking into buying a Datejust 116231 the 8 digit Serial starts with an "A". I see that watches from 99-2000 serials start with an "A" but this one has the serial engraved in the Rehaut so I assume it is much newer model. Is it just a coincidence that the 8 digit serial starts with an "A"?

Rehaut engraving started in 2005. Random serial numbers started in 2010. So, Yes, most likely it’s a random serial #. Ask the seller how old it is. No docs?

Hi all,
quite a Rolex newbie here.
I have a Datejust 16200 with X407xxx as serial.
Charts tell me that it should be from 1991, but according to many others it could be also from 1992-93 because serial X is different and covers a larger period of time.
Since I have no papers, can you help me to date my watch?
Thanks a lot for reading and helping.

Thanks anyway.
