I'm 50 next month and just picked this up last week. Wanted one from the second I saw it. I'd say it's a grail for me!

Another 50 for 50!

There are some stunners in this thread. This may not quite be up there, but for me it's absolutely a grail, and I feel an insane amount of pride and excitement when I look at it.

Cheers, mate, but really don't like the way UK prices are tightening on many brands now and on a Lange you need a big discount. Anyway, something to look forward to, even if it has to be trip to Germany in the end.

I haven't achieved my Grail yet but hope to add it to my collection by the end of next year. It is the Full Y/G Daytona Green Dial. But I am very content with the two I have at the moment a T/T Sub 116613LB & T/T Daytona 116503

I had an employee take pictures of me with the store manager (the pictures turned out very nice) presenting me with the watch although they don't reveal very much because the watch is encased in the coffin box which I insist my new Rolex watches be delivered in

It was a joy removing all the packing and stickers at home, adjusting the strap, and generally admiring the beauty of the Daydate at my own leisure. I received the proper presentation box which is very heavy and large along with the outer sleeve. One interesting label on the outer sleeve instructs the AD to package the Skydweller and Gold Daydates using this particular size of box. Very few consumers would realize this as most AD's do not give the customer the outer sleeve unless they insist as I do. I also believe that quite often the wrong size presentation box (there are many sizes) are given to the customer adding confusion to exactly what size box should be presented with each given model.

When I get the time, I will take pictures of the whole kit, overcome my ignorance, and learn how to post them.

Just reading this thread it got me thinking can anyone give me the correct measurements for the presentation box for the new Daytona 116503

Some incredible pieces in this thread

Can't decide between these two. But if I'm ever able to obtain either I'd be complete

It's funny, I didn't think this was my grail when I got it. I just wanted to see what Rolex was about, and I've loved the Sub since I saw Sean Connery flash his by the light of a lighter while watching a Bond marathon as a kid (the Rolex 'stigma' kept me from buying one). Almost 8 month in and I have zero interest in flipping or getting anything else, which is amazing given I'm on this forum a lot (although an Explorer has been on my mind). No desires to 'upgrade' to a Patek or something. So I guess I stumbled into my grail.

Should rename this thread "watch-porn". My wife just said, "you have two other porn sites you visit regularly, Porsche porn and Boat porn, now you have Watch porn".... Men! She exclaimed.

No shark porn? So I take it your wife is not Monica Geller.
