Welcome to my world.
Love living so close to the keys. My favorite getaway. Enjoy! If you make it to Key Largo, stop at either the Fish House or Encore for the best food in the area and by far, the best key lime pie. If you are into cigars, visit Island Smoke and tell Bob Carlos sent you. |

Carlos: What am amazing part of the world you've got here. Thks for the guidance. I went to a great cigar smoke lounge last night in key west and had a wonderful padron. I'll have to hit island smoke next time (and there will be a next time!), as I'm out to Miami already. All the best, gg

I can guide you with that, being Cuban, and knowing many great very well priced eateries. Also a great Spaniard Tapas place I can send you to. Spanish: Delicias de Espanña My favorite Cuban, Gilberto's, on Coral Way, just off 35th Ave or so. PM me if you need more information on the area. Typical tourist place and very good as well, Versaille's on 8th and 35 or so. |

If an "Anni", better yet. If you are ever back and wish to meet the Padrón family (Orlando, Jorge and Rudy) and they are in town, the brothers and their cousin are acquantences. It's just a hit or miss as to if in Miami or visiting shops, or in Nicaragua. The old man Jose is living the vida local and hard to find. |

Carlos: Thks for info! I'll ping when I get back. I brought home a smoke in my bag that was recommended by the key west shop but I can't recall what it is. Will advise once I get my bag. Good night to all here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Took my dad to the Keys. We rented a car in Miami and took a leisurely drive over a couple of days. My dad was a talker, in the airplane, cars, hotel, restaurants, he talked.
Until we got to Sunset Beach on Key West. It is truly magnificent, colors you've never seen, a 4 masted schooner went by in silhouette, incredible. Suddenly my dad stopped talking! I looked around and he was watching a young lady in front of us who was wearing a high cut sarong thing and apparently had forgotten her underwear. So, as the gentle breezes blew her sarong to and fro my dad and I ambled along behind her in companionable silence til she finally wandered off. A great trip, really enjoyed it. :) I was wearing this to keep it on topic. |
