Still haven't decided if i'm going to keep it or end up switching to the black dial once my # is called. For the time being though, she's on my wrist and looks & feels great!

Congratulations it looks fantastic on you

I'd love to see the white dial in person. I saw the black dial last summer and it wasn't my cup of tea.

I'm going to go into the AD once my name is called and then make my determination. I was hell bent on getting the white when i first saw it and now i believe i want the black more.

It will just depend on how it looks in person. Shouldn't be much longer now.....

That's what makes this hobby so fun, we all have our personal preferences and Rolex seems to cater to all of them.

Good luck!

The grass will always be greener here! Me thinks You will need both! hehe. Coming from someone who owns and deeply loves an LN, I can attest, I will always ALWAYS be thinking of the white dial too. BUT, in the meantime enjoy and Huge congrats.

White dial

I think is more popular and seems to command a higher aftermarket premium. But a lot of responses here like the black. Not enough contrast on the black dial for me. I think the white really sets off the bezel. The black just seems to run all together. If you sell the white, I think you can easily pick up the black for less money on the aftermarket now.

Congrats! The white is great!

I first ordered white and as time passed and the probability of being offered black dial became a distinct possibility I started shifting my thinking to black. It is a beautiful piece but my whole collection is black dial which concerned me. I decided to let the Rolex gods decide which one I got and just take the first one offered. The white came in and it is absolutely stunning in person...i said yes immediately.

I don't believe I will have a black dial lingering in the back of my head on this one and I just can't see having one of each personally. That may change and if it does a few of my current black dials will go to fund it.

So cool to see more and more of these finally starting to appear. Nice that you'll have the option of either one pretty soon.

Very nice on you.

What was the outcome of the engraving requirement?

White it's more unique and better contrast. The black looks like the 116520 with a ceramic bezel. Still both are great.

They still required the engraving to be done. It's rather big and gaudy on the back of the case dial to be honest. One thing is for certain, no one will ever doubt i', the original owner of the watch if i end up flipping it.
