Photobucket problem

Hello,

Do you guys have any idea why my photos have been lost where i uploaded to my thread on trf?

It says please update your account to enable to 3rd party hosting.

I couldn't find the way to fix it.

I'm having the same problem. From what I can tell, there's no way to "fix" it, there's only upgrading to a service ($39.99 per month) for a feature that was always free. I will email them directly to complain about this, but it looks like we're screwed.

Really annoying considering all the threads I ever create or contribute to have now had all the photos pulled.

You have to pay 400USD now for one year to show them on an external address.

Use postimg.org together with the IMG tag or tapatalk

God. $39 per month? They must be out of their mind.

Thanks for info.

yeah for real. Obviously I'm not paying that. I'll switch to someone who either offers the service and features I need for free or for a reasonable amount of money.

I'm using Imgur.com on my desktop and Tapatalk for the phone. Photobucket has been going downhill for years. This stunt their pulling is probably the final nail in the coffin.

$40 per month is the only way to fix this problem, I don't foresee a bright future for Photobucket.

I am not paying anything and am having no problems showing photos. Wait, let me post a photo to see if it still works:

Posting a photo still works. Their cleverest way is to post it for a while then delete that picture after a while. I think; they know we may still need that picture to be show on a forum and we have to pay for that.

If they were talking about a $1.99 or $2.99 for a month, that could work out for them but $39.99 ls a huge amount.

For that sort of money I can buy my own domain and host my pics there at Kostaspics . Com with massive amount of storage.

Maybe I can even charge a measly $2.99 a year for you guys to upload yours too

I have moved on to imgur; works great, no annoying ad popups, but takes a little bit of re-learning how to use (image view and album view are different):

I have always used 'imgur' - having already framed and resized my photos on "Paint.net" in order that I can post manageable sized pictures on my forums.
'imgur' is quick and easy to use.
Problems were being caused here on TRF by people posting pictures with high resolution but which had not been resized. These were annoying to view as they required scrolling.

I am still using Photobucket and pictures/links post the same as always. I pay $29.99 a year not $400.

It wants me to upgrade plus 500. You can see how much it costs.

No, at least not as things stand now.
Admin would need to enable editing by removing the 90 minute limit.
The option now is to re-post the photos using the links from the new photohosting site you’ll have chosen.
