Rolex Submariner No date or SD43
Dear forum members.
What would you choose? Sub ND or SD43? Remember that I already have a Rolex Deepsea, Breitling Navitimer B01, Tudor Pelagos Blue and a Tag Link. Have these two holding back at an AD till next week. But can't have both :-). Many thanks. Best regards, Frédéric Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk Pro |

Ask yourself, do you like it big or normal? Also, and this is what i am just guessing, so correct me if i'm wrong, a service for the SD43 is more expensive then the normal SND. I believe they SD43 can only be serviced with special pressure equipment.
But again, correct me if i'm wrong. |

I'd choose the SD first.

Always go for the more expensive choice...that way you can flip if for the other if it doesn't work out.

Is a diver watch a necessity? If not, the GMT BLNR would do just and even better than both IMHO. Also price is just between the SND and the SD43 and more elegant than both.
Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd go with the Sub unless you have gigantic wrists.

Neither...
But if you must the ND Sub. Having a DSSD and SD43 is almost redundant. |

Since you already have The DS, I'd go for the ND sub

It depends on the fit and comfort. Try them both on and then decide.

well, i mean, take the SD.
seems like a hot watch right now and you could effectively wear it a year or two for free. sub-c's are plentiful. |

I'd go BLNR even though you don't have it as an option.

I've seen the watch fashion change from ultra thin to ultra fat. My guess is the the pendulum is swinging back away from ultra fat watches toward more moderate sizes. You already have an ultra fat watch and the Sub is a perfect example of the moderate and always fashionable watch.

I already have had the GMT BLNR and the GMT LN but sold them both. To flashy with the pcl and didnt like the clasp too, or it was too lose or it was too tight...

Submariner.
Also, no such model as the "no date"; it is either the Submariner or Submariner Date. |

Neither. You already have a black diver. Unless you decide to get rid of your dssd.

SD43 is oversized SD4000. If you need oversized watch, you’re covered with DSSD.

I would probably go with the sub since you have DSSD

I'd say Sub unless you think it's too small, only based on your preference for large watches this far in your collection. Personally I love the Sub and I have a big wrist at 7.75". I could never wear a Deepsea. Omfortably and found both the Pelagos and BB too large for my tastes....but the Sub is perfect. It would also add a nice size to your diver lineup. I think it makes the best daily wear watch around.
However, if you prefer large watches the SD43 is a great one, I think it looks really nice but it's just too big for my taste. Be real similar in size to your Pelagos I'd think. |
