Always used a wooden match or Xikar lighter. I've heard a cedar spill is nice also.

I have a lovely ST Dupont somewhere in a draw, haven't used it for a lot of years since I stopped smoking cigars. The "ping" has that feel good factor. I also thought it quaint that one warms up the gas cylinder under ones arm, before screwing it on the lighter to fill it up.

On the dress lighter, I have chosen S.T. Dupont. Nothing for me does it like the ping of the lighter. The only issue is they cost a lot and you can make it work for a lot less. But sometimes life is not about making it work. Dupont has also introduced a Defi Extreme which is a jet flame lighter made for extreme conditions and I use one daily. Form and function. I have found that when I have money tied up in something I have a tendency to keep up with it. Be it pens, lighters, etc. A lot of it just comes down to personal preference and how much you want to spend.

Awesome lighter collection I just ordered a minijet for using on the golf course. Lighter and smaller than any of my others. Should work great for golf
