Icon1 Anyone Made An Insurance Claim On Their Rolex?

Please state the following to help other members in the same boat as me as to which insurance companies are the best and what was your experience with them when filing a claim.

Please state the following:

Insurance Company:

Annual Premiums:

Deductible:

Coverage:

Was your Rolex lost, stolen, broken, etc:

Did Insurance Company repair, replace watch, or send you a check for appraised value:

Anything else you would like to add?

Thanks

How so?

If you don't feel safe, just post the company name and what happened and your experience.

It has noting to do with safe......but most better insurance co base your rates on what you own, net worth, job, security......

this is a question that should be asked of the insurance cos and not individual
policy holders.

I think the original poster is just trying to get an idea of what to expect and where to go.

I too would like people to volunteer their experiences. I'm looking for insurance and want to hear how companies went about this. There's only so much you can tell from what the companies "promise" you.

I've noticed most of chicagowatchman's post are either irrelevant to the thread or he just acts like an @$$.

I'm glad you are in the same boat as me mretzloff, I don't want to go with an insurance company with bad customer service who doesn't follow up with what they claim their service to be.

Please don't result to name calling. The thing I like about TRF is how nice everyone is. Please don't make me think otherwise.

If your Rolex is stolen, does your homeowners insurance go up?

Hey!

Sorry your experiencing this since we chatted a few times.

Do a Search here under insurance there are a lot of good posts with answers.

The posts are about what people use. No one has posted about an actual experience (maybe I'm overlooking it). I don't want to get the boot if my Rolex ever is stolen or decides to take a dive.

I'm strongly considering Jewler's Mutual. If I had my parents add my Rolex on their homeowners, would their insurance go up if I filed a claim?

You do risk it going up with a claim

Why dont you call Jewelers Mutual and speak to someone during the week

Be sure to ask them will they replace it with a NEW one if Lost, Stolen, Mysterious dissaperance, or if you cause damage to it and any deductables.....and do they cover you for all losses anywhere in the world if you travel

This is one of the worst threads I have seen on TRF. If you don't want to answer the questions, why not just move on to another thread?

My God. Is the question really that scary?

I use Jeweler's Mutual. And yes, they confirmed the policy covers your scheduled timepieces and jewelry while overseas.

Premiums have gone up a bit, but I think it's still better than a homeowners policy since all they do is jewelry.

1. No one is obliged to disclose any personal details, and the asking of a question involving the giving of personal details is not of itself a problem. Some questions ask people to post photographs of themselves, this involves the giving of personal details.

2. Just because a person ask a question doesn't give other members to become the judge of what is an appropriate question or not and criticise or attack the person asking the question.

3. If a person is not inclined to respond to a question that is fine, just move onto some other topic.

4. The moderators will decide what is appropriate, and members who act as vigil anti's risk finding themselves in trouble themselves.

Get an apprasial from your AD for your watch. If you own a Sub Date and bought it before the price hike in March of this year, get one done again for the new price effectice Oct 1st, 2008.

I use one company for homeowner's and a separate jewelry policy with the same company. This covers mine and my wife's Rolex, and any other diamond rings and and a few other things I have bought her through out the years.

If something happens to any of the things covered, my insurance company will cut me a check for the appraised value at the time, as long as they have a current copy of one on hand.
