I wouldnt do the cyclops man. The steel datewheel is cool though if it's easy to do.

Hi ,
All for the Mods if you like the idea. But maybe someone could photoshop first to give you ( and us ) a picture of what it look like , would be very interested myself as I have a BB steel with date. I have thought about adding a cylops too and think it would look pretty good, but don't want to go to the time & trouble only to think that was a waste of time . |

I doesn't matter what we think. What matters is what you think.

First of all it is your watch so do what you like. I have a blue Pelagos and and a GMTc. Love both of them.
Before buying the Rolex I always hated the cyclops. I even looked on how to remove it before I bought the GMTc. The cyclops and the PCL's kept me from buying the GMTc at first. But to be honest, now that I own and wear the GMTc , I find the date window so much easier to read that I actually started to like the cyclops. And now when I am wearing the Pelagos I find the date a bit small and hard to read. |

Not for me, I'm afraid:
- The Pelagos has a toolish, austere, spartan, angular look - the rounded 'bubble' cyclops doesn't fit with that, in my opinion - The date wheel has a white background & that positioning to symmetrically balance the 9 o'clock marker, so a silver date wheel would look a little odd. That said, neither would be completely ruinous, and I'm in favour of anyone having the right to do whatever they like to their own watch, so if you like it, then have at it & I hope you enjoy it. |
