I find the "Ring Lock System" etc text to be distracting, so I prefer the SD4k or 43, with the edge going to the SD4k for lack of cyclops.

Do you think the cyclops is here to stay? Can you imagine a DSSD with a cyclops?

SD43, find it strange that the SD4K only popular now it's discontinued.

Hmm I really like the new SD43, but the size and cyclops were unnecessary.

The SD4k is great, but my only criticism is it's not THAT different from a sub, and the added price was not attractive, but that likely caused slow sales and a short lifespan which makes the potential future collectability of it really appealing.

I voted SD4k, but the 16600 if was an option might've been my vote.

Toss up between the D-Blue and SD43.
I prefer the dial and domed sapphire crystal of the D-Blue but the overall proportions of the SD43.

Full disclosure, I have not. Its 43mm case size is pretty much a non-starter for me with my wrist size though. Also, a cyclops doesn't belong on a SD IMHO

Same here, I'd probably pick the SD43 as a one or two only, and the D-B in a collection.

If they put the DB dial on the SD43 and had a red SD40, I think this would make the most people happy, but Rolex are not in the utilitarianism business, not even close.

I prefer the SD43 to all of the watches in the SD line-up. I have owned a couple of DSSD's and they are great watches but did not stick in the collection. I like the SD 4000 but not more than a Submariner at the same case size. The SD43 has it all for me. The 43 mm case, 22mm bracelet, Glide Lock bracelet and the red script on the dial. If the whole collection had to go the SD43 would be the last.

My first Rolex was the DSSD and the second was the SD4000. I love them over the Submariners as there's no cyclopse and one is for casual wear whereas the other looks great under a shirt.

The SD43 is a lovely watch but straight away the cyclopse spoils it for me. At that price point you have to like pretty much everything about the watch to consider the outlay and for me it's an instant 'no'.
